The BJC -
The Bournemouth Junior Chamber was formed in 1967 as a forum for young business and professional men and women from Bournemouth and district to meet and consider matters of local and general interest. It was well supported from the very beginning and the young professionals of Bournemouth enjoyed debates, dinners and visits to local places of interest. The Chamber still stands strong today with members drawn from varied business sectors, we have everything from Dentists to Solicitors to name but a few. Our members are generally in their 20’s and 30’s (although associate membership is available until 45). We offer a relaxed and informal way to meet people from other areas of business through our Social evenings, but we also take an interest in loc al business developments and issues for those who wish to get their teeth into something more than a nice dinner.

Interesting Facts from BJC History
The first Public meeting of the Chamber took place on January 23rd 1968, it was a talk by Dr James Fisher on The Pressures of Living. Over the years many events have been held, visiting such places as the Atomic Energy Establishment in Winfrith (1972) and the Dorset Naturalists Trust (1973), both providing lots of eye opening information no doubt!
